Ronda Rousey Tells Floyd Mayweather To ‘Text Her When He Learns To Read’
Apparently the Ronda Rousey-Floyd Mayweather Jr. feud just won’t ever reach a conclusion.
It all started when the Mayweather said he didn’t know who ‘he’ was in reference to Rousey, which led to her waiting until the perfect moment to wonder how it felt for the controversial boxer to get beaten by a woman for once when she beat him for the 2015 “Fighter of the Year” ESPY award.
Now a few weeks after “Money” jabbed at Rousey by telling her to “call him when she made 300 million.” In a recent interview with TMZ, Rousey is back to do some math with Mayweather’s insinuation. With her fights ending in quick and dominant fashion, she figures that she actually makes more money per second than “Money.”
She also took a big swing at his Mayweather’s supposed inability to read, perhaps revving up the stakes in their trash talk showdown:
“It’s kind of funny, people bring up pay to me a lot. I don’t know if you saw the Floyd thing. He said, ‘when you make 0 million in a night, then you can give me a call.’ And I actually did the math, and given the numbers of my last fight, I’m actually the highest paid UFC fighter, and I’m a woman.
“I think I actually make two to three times more than he does per second. So when he learns to read and write, he can text me.”
The wildly popular women’s MMA superstar rarely, if ever, holds back her true feelings, and she clearly did not here. But she has yet to comment on the rumor that she’s dating UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, who is currently suspended while under investigation for alleged domestic violence accusations from his wife Jenna Renee Webb.
As for Mayweather; well, it’s not the first time a high-profile MMA fighter has questioned his reading skills (or lack thereof). Heading into his September bout with Andre Berto, “Money” can just pay someone to read anything he needs them to.
And from the look of things, there’s going to be many more headlines about him and Rousey before it’s all said and done.
