Deontay Wilder To Reject Big-Money Offer From DAZN

Deontay Wilder to reject a big money offer from the streaming service DAZN. Once the WBC heavyweight champion made it known that he’s a free agent, there have been some big money deals offered to him. However, it appears that one deal especially came his way but he wasn’t interested.

Wilder was last seen in action when he took on Tyson Fury on December 1, 2018, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and aired on PPV. The fight with the WBC heavyweight title up for grabs ended in a split decision draw.

The scorecard saw 115–111 for Wilder while 114–112 for Fury. The decision was highly controversial as the majority of people thought that Fury got it done with 115-111 on the scorecards.

Wilder would turn down a deal from Top Rank and ESPN last month. This led to DAZN’s John Skipper coming in with a three-fight offer worth roughly $100 million.

As part of this deal, two of those bouts consisting of showdowns with WBA/IBF/WBO champion Anthony Joshua for an average of million. The first fight would’ve seen him take on challenger Dominic Breazeale on May 18th.

However, Both Mike Coppinger and Chris Mannix report that Wilder vs. Breazeale won’t be on DAZN. It appears that Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions is rejecting that offer.

Mannix states it’s expected that Wilder is turning down DAZN. On the flip side, Coppinger states that Deontay is in the process of finalizing a new multi-fight contract but the partner is unknown.
