Mike Tyson VS Roy Jones Jr Full Card Purses Released
Former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, boxing legend Mike Tyson made a return to the ring this weekend.
It had been fifteen-years since we seen ‘Iron Mike’ inside the ropes, since his final fight against Kevin McBride, in 2005.
Saturday night saw him take on former multiple weight world champion, Roy Jones Jr in an eight round exhibition fight.
Although the decision would not be added to either fighters professional record, the fight resulted in a draw.
Tyson said he believed he won the fight but said he was good with the judges decision.
“I entertained the crowd, the crowd was happy with it,” Tyson said.
Jones had a different reaction to being asked if he was happy with the draw.
“Hell no, I don’t ever settle a fight with a draw, I wear drawers, I don’t do draws,” Jones said.
“He’s so strong man, I understand why they say some things are bucket list, because when he hits you, if it’s his head, his punches, his body shots, everything hurts.”
The payday for this main event saw both Tyson and Jones Jr take home $1 million each.
The co-main event featured YouTube star Jake Paul and professional basketball player Nate Robinson, go head to head.
Paul finished the fight with a vicious second-round knockout over Robinson and post-fight Paul says he has a long list of names he wants to face next.
“Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, I’m gonna knock them both out, KSI, Austin McBroom.”
“For me, my whole life has been a fight, so fighting is something I’m great at,” Paul said.
