Logan Paul Wants ‘Greatest Upset In Sports History’ Against Mayweather
Logan Paul looks to create a new legacy away from YouTube, when he takes on Floyd Mayweather inside the ring.
This ‘special exhibition,’ is set for February 20, 2021 and based on their last few fights, it will rake in the viewers.
Since retiring from professional boxing at 50-0, ‘Money’ Mayweather has had multiple exhibitions.
His first came against former two time UFC champion, the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor.
The pair met in the boxing world in 2017, inside the boxing ring, breaking pay-per-view records.
According to Forbes, Mayweather earned a whopping $275 million pay cheque for that fight.
With Paul’s 18.6 million subscribers and Mayweather’s 24.3 million Instagram followers, the predicted numbers would be attractive to both men.
In November, Mayweather saw rumours circling online about his return to the ring against Paul.
Mayweather tweeted he’s not one for games and these ‘YouTube Girls’ better find some dolls to play with.
“3 years ago a fighter from the UFC said my name and I had to put a muzzle on that b***h [McGregor],” Mayweather said.
“Logan Paul can get the same treatment before I go conquer Japan again.”
Paul has made comments regarding this upcoming fight, with full confidence.
“I am always searching for the ultimate challenge and it is a dream to go toe-to-toe with the greatest boxer alive,” Paul said.”
“I am ALL IN, and on February 20th, the world could witness the greatest upset in the history of sports.”
Paul has recently ventured into the boxing world, having an amateur and professional bout, against fellow YouTuber, KSI.
With their amateur fight resulting in a draw, KSI claimed victory in their second meeting.
Mayweather is considered one of the best boxers in history, with his perfect record against some huge names.
With the large skill difference, it is unlikely Paul can pose a threat to Mayweather, but will certainly have the world watching.
He enters this fight as a -6000 favourite, with Paul listed as a +1750 underdog.
