Tyson Fury Calls Anthony Joshua Out Following Joshua’s KO Over Pulev
Anthony Joshua is now in the middle of his second championship reign, and now has his first defense out of the way, as he defeated Kubrat Pulev via KO at 2:58 of round 9 to retain his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight championships earlier today.
When asked who he wanted next, he didn’t give the clearest answer. WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion Tyson Fury didn’t take so kindly to this, as he rightfully feels he’s next.
“Well there you go everyone, Anthony Joshua just shit himself live on television. He got asked who he wanted to fight, and he went around the bushes and put his ass on the edge.
“I want the fight! I want the fight next. I’ll knock him out inside three rounds. He’s a big bum duster, can’t want to knock him out.” – Tyson Fury
Bob Arum has since shared the following tweet, hinting at a match up between Fury and Joshua:
Now that Fury has defeated Deontay Wilder, and had a draw with him, being the only two blemishes on Wilder’s record, this is the fight to make. Joshua versus Wilder is also a compelling match up still to this day, but this one needs to be made first.
Fury would come into the fight with a record of 30-0-1, while Joshua would come in with a record of 24-1, having avenged his only defeat.
They’re both gigantic men as well, with Fury standing a whopping 6’9” with an 85” reach, and Joshua standing 6’6” with an 82” reach.
There are so many reasons to make this fight. Not only are they the two best heavyweights in the world, but they’re both English as well, and both have been at the top of boxings heavyweight division for some time now.
Who wins this epic battle, should it be next?
