Tyson Fury Calls Out Jarrell Miller For Bare Knuckle Fight
Tyson Fury is no stranger to making headlines, both with his victories inside the ring, as well as his notorious callouts. Well, today Fury made headlines again, this time calling out American talent Jarrell Miller.
Fury uploaded his callout video via Twitter, and said the following: “This is a callout video to the fat boy! Jarrell Miller, get yourself ….., bring $100,000 with ya, (and) you and me will have a fight in the ring.”
“Winner take all, cash. I put you down seven times in Lancaster, ….., I’ll put you down ten times in Big Bear, California, you fat prick. Get yourself ….. any time, any place, anywhere. You wanna spar, or you want a bare knuckle fight, get yourself ….. you fat prick.”
This would be an interesting bout, to say the least. The one problem with this is the fact that Miller is suspended, and will not be eligible to compete until early next year, perhaps the reason Fury asked him to a bare knuckle fight.
Miller has failed drug tests in boxing competition three times, and even had an opponent refuse to fight him because there wouldn’t be enough time to properly implement drug testing.
This is the reason his scheduled bout with Anthony Joshua never took place. He was supposed to face Joshua in February of 2019, until a positive test result got in the way. The same happened in his next scheduled bout against Jerry Forrest, who he was supposed to fight in July of last year.
Considering all of this, Miller hasn’t fought since November of 2018, well over two years ago. He also failed a drug test for a kickboxing bout he had against Mirko Cro Cop in 2014.
In kickboxing, Miller made it to 22-2, after going 14-0 as an amateur. In boxing, he’s gone 23-0-1 with 20 knockouts thus far into his career, while Fury holds a record of 30-0-1 with 21 knockouts.
While it looks like Fury may have a bout with Anthony Joshua, which looks like it’s being targeted for June, he very clearly wants to stay active. As the No. 1 heavyweight in the sport, that’s very exciting.
