Chris Eubank Jr. Will Bet £10K On Canelo To KO Billy Joe Saunders
Chris Eubank Jr. thinks Billy Joe Saunders will lose badly when he squares off against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez on May 8.
The 31-year-old is willing to bet £10,000 that his old rival is knocked out by the Mexican superstar at the AT&T Stadium in Texas next month.
Eubank Jr. is of the opinion that Saunders has not improved since they fought back in 2014.
The pair met for the European, Commonwealth and British middleweight titles and Saunders was victorious via split decision.
Speaking to talkSPORT recently, Eubank Jr. dimmissed Saunders who he says has no chance of beating Canelo.
“Different levels,” he said. “I don’t really feel like Saunders has improved since he last fought me. I think he is the same guy. I am levels and levels above what I was when I first got into the ring with Saunders. I feel like he is the same guy; that guy can’t beat someone like Canelo.
“Slim to none, Saunders is going to get hurt,” Eubank Jr. added. “I’m going to be putting a £10,000 bet on Canelo to knock Saunders out.
“That’s what I think is going to happen; I think Saunders is going to get knocked out.”
Do you agree with Chris Eubank Jr? Will ‘Canelo’ KO Billy Joe Saunders on May 8?
