Paul Gallen Defeats Lucas Browne With Shock 1st Round KO
Lucas Browne, the former WBA belt holder, has just been brutally KO’d by Rugby legend Paul Gallen.
Gallen didn’t let Browne get out of the first round, dropping him early on with a hard right. Browne was able to get back to his feet, but a brutal body shot sent him back down to the canvas. This time he was unable to continue.
This was labelled as Gallen’s toughest test to date, being his first fight against an actual boxer. His previous fights have primarily been against fellow former rugby players. However, he did face off against former MMA fighter Mark Hunt in 2020 and won convincingly.
According to Sky Sports, Gallen now has his sights set on Sonny Bill Williams. Williams is also a former Rugby player turned Boxer, who has amassed an impressive 7-0 record. Australian heavyweight prospect, Justis Huni has also been linked as a potential future opponent.
