REPORT | Anthony Joshua & Tyson Fury To Split $150M Site Fee

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will each make at least $75 million after agreeing to a deal that will see their heavyweight undisputed fight take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

For the past couple of weeks, both sides have been fielding offers for fight locations. It was reported Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Russia, England, and the United States among others were interested. However, Eddie Hearn recently revealed they had agreed to a deal and Bob Arum confirms it is Saudi Arabia.

According to ESPN, the British heavyweights will split a site fee that could be more than $150 million.

As of right now, the deal isn’t finalized but is expected to be in the coming days.

Fury hasn’t competed since recapturing heavyweight gold by beating Deontay Wilder in February 2020. The Englishman was expected to complete his trilogy of fights with ‘The Bronze Bomber’ but the American’s repeated allegations of cheating against Fury seems to have brought that chapter of his career to a close – at least for now.

Joshua was last seen in the ring when he fought Kubrat Pulev in December. ‘AJ’ dictated the fight against his IBF mandatory challenger from the opening bell. The 31-year-old found the finish in round nine to defend his straps and pave the way for a mega-money match-up with Fury.
