Roy Jones Jr: Logan Paul Isn’t Big Enough To Beat Floyd Mayweather
Roy Jones Jr. doesn’t give Logan Paul any chance of beating Floyd Mayweather when the two men square off this Sunday on Showtime pay-per-view.
Mayweather is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time. ‘Money’ finished his career with a perfect 50-0 record and beat the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
Paul is best known as an internet celebrity. Over the last few years he has moved into boxing with great commercial success but is yet to pick up a win in the ring. Paul lost his first and only professional boxing bout to date when he took on fellow YouTuber KSI in 2019.
Jones Jr. scoffed when asked by TMZ Sports if Paul has any chance of causing an upset this weekend, he said.
“It’s very hard to hit one of the greatest defensive fighters of all time. So, it’s very hard to hit him. That being said, I don’t give the kid a chance. C’mon man that Floyd Mayweather are you serious?
“He can walk him down, he aint gotta run,” Jones Jr added. “He’s boxing, this dude is a boxer. This dude is a YouTube sensation. Floyd boxes. Not only does Floyd box, Floyd was one of the best pound-for-pound for a long time. I mean, boxers couldn’t hit him, how’s a non-boxer going to hit him?
Some point to Paul’s huge size advantage as a possible issue for Mayweather. Jones Jr. doesn’t agree with that notion and says the YouTuber isn’t big enough to cause Mayweather any issues.
“He’s not big enough,” Jones Jr said. “If he was Mike Tyson’s size it would be different, he’s not Mike Tyson size. If he was Mike Tyson size, ok. But he’s not Mike Tyson size. You not Mike Tyson size it’s not gonna happen.
Do you agree with Roy Jones Jr? Is Logan Paul’s size advantage irrelevant when he fights Floyd Mayweather?
