Floyd Mayweather, Logan Paul Purses Revealed
Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul will be getting paid for their exhibition bout tonight (Sunday, June 6) in Miami, Florida at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Mayweather, the 50-0 pro boxer who’s 44-year-old, will fight YouTube star and influencer as well as 0-1 pro boxer, Logan Paul in an anticipated bout. Paul has a massive size advantage for the fight and has said he will KO the undefeated boxer due to the size.
Although many are not giving Paul a chance, he will be getting paid for the bout. According to sportingfree, Mayweather is guaranteed to make $5 million from the fight plus a 50% share of PPV sales. Paul, meanwhile, is s guaranteed $250k apart of 10% revenue. However, it is widely reported that Paul will break $10 million while Mayweather will get close to $100 million.
Mayweather has promised he will defeat Paul with ease. He knows the size won’t play a factor. He knows he is a much better fighter than Paul and will show that on Sunday.
“It’s going to be fun. It’s what I do. There’s a difference between being a YouTube fighter and an elite fighter,” Mayweather said. “I’m a fighter and I don’t worry about anything. I’ve been a professional for 25 years and I’ve fought the best and seen every style and I always came out on top.”
Mayweather is also glad Paul has confidence but he wants to remind him all 50 of his opponents have been confident.
“I’m glad he’s got confidence,” Mayweather said. “I’m glad he believes in himself. Last time I checked, all 50 fighters that I faced, they all said the same thing.”
Paul, meanwhile, believes he has what it takes to pull off the massive upset and is confident he will.
“I’m going to fight my heart out,” Paul said. “That’s the beautiful thing about this sport. In almost any other business, experience is going to trump everything else. But this is a fight, and anything can happen.”
