Fury Blasts Wilder Over Accusations Of Lying About COVID-19 Diagnosis
Tyson Fury has put Deontay Wilder on blast for his latest accusations.
Fury and Wilder were expected to share the ring a third time in July. The bout had to be pushed back due to a COVID-19 outbreak in Fury’s camp. The two will now collide on Oct. 9.
Wilder took to his Instagram account to hurl accusations that Fury is lying about his COVID-19 diagnosis.
“Yo bro, Malik Scott say it ain’t so… Not the COVID-19 lie… They’re going to hell for that one!!! Oct 9th can not come any faster.”
Fury was quick to respond to Wilder, firing back at “The Bronze Bomber.”
“This man is a real piece of work. A real bully excuse maker. Not a warrior or a man at all. Beat the mug 2 times. I’ve battered him and his trainer. But still talking sh!t. Real p-ssy.”
Fury and Wilder first shared the ring back in December 2018. The bout went the distance and was scored a majority draw. In their Feb. 2020 rematch, Fury defeated Wilder via seventh-round TKO to capture the WBC and The Ring Heavyweight Title.
After the rematch, Wilder had been silent for months. He finally spoke out and accused Fury of loading his gloves with egg weights. He then claimed that his former trainer, Mark Breland, spiked his water.
Wilder’s defeat to Fury was the first loss of his pro boxing career. “The Bronzer Bomber” had a record of 42-0-1 before the loss to “The Gypsy King.” Of course, it’s also his first defeat by way of stoppage as well.
Tyson Fury attempted to move on to an undisputed heavyweight title fight with WBA, IBF, and IBO Champion Anthony Joshua. Wilder ended up winning an arbitration case, ruling that he must have a trilogy fight with Fury this year.
