Tyson Fury Not Thinking About Boxing, Doesn’t Know What The Future Holds
Tyson Fury is not thinking about boxing whatsoever at the moment.
Fury is coming off an impressive 11th-round knockout win over Deontay Wilder in their trilogy match this past weekend to defend his WBC heavyweight title.
Next on the agenda — at least in the boxing world — is for Fury to face the winner of the expected Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua rematch in a heavyweight title unification clash.
However, there’s also a possibility Fury ends up facing fellow Briton Dillian Whyte as his WBC mandatory which could further delay any title unification bout.
As far as Fury is concerned? He’s simply going back to daily life for the time being (via Michael Benson).
“I’ll go straight back to my grass roots. Doing the bins, taking the kids to school, doing bits around the house. Normal stuff. I’m going to take a month off training and just enjoy myself.”
While one would hope Fury would switch his attention back to boxing in the near future, that may not be the case either.
Even with one fight remaining on his Top Rank and ESPN deal.
“I’ve got one fight left on my contract with Top Rank and ESPN and we’ll see what that is. But I’m not thinking about boxing right now. I don’t know if I need to fight any more. I don’t know what the future holds.”
Do you think Fury will return to the ring?
