Tyron Woodley ‘Was Not Allowed’ To KO Jake Paul, Claims Dillon Danis
Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul had a highly-anticipated fight in August where Paul won by split decision, but in the fight, “The Chosen One” connected on a good shot that rocked Paul but he didn’t go after him to get the KO, and Dillon Danis says there is a reason about that.
According to the Bellator fighter, who was linked to a bout with Paul, claims Woodley wasn’t allowed to knockout Paul, as written in the contract. That is why he never threw any punches when he had Paul hurt. Many fans had thought the same watching the fight as after that happened, there were a ton of fight fixing claims. For Danis, he says Woodley’s contract said he wasn’t allowed to KO him.
“Tyron Woodley, from what I heard, had it in the contract that he was not allowed to knock out Jake Paul,” Danis said on The MMA Hour. (via Mirror). “I swear on anything, when he was against the ropes, I swear, that’s why when Jake Paul was against the ropes, Tyron Woodley didn’t hit him. I’m telling you right now. It was in his contract where it said you’re not allowed to knock him out.”
It should be noted that Danis is known for his trolling and what he says is not proven and likely not true. However, there is no question other people had the same thoughts as Danis did.
Regardless, Paul got the split decision win and will now likely box Tommy Fury next time out. The fight has not been agreed to but all signs point to the fight being made and hopefully before the year is up. He is 4-0 as a pro boxer and now will face a real boxer for the first time in his career.
