Tyson Fury Responds To Joe Joyce Callout, ‘Only Interested In Two Fights’
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is only interested in two fights right now.
Fury was recently called out by friend and former sparring partner Joe Joyce who revealed he would be open to a fight in February.
“I have got lots of respect for @Tyson_Fury as a friend and as a fighter, but my schedule is free in February #letsdothis #WBO1 #WBC2#THEJUGGERNAUT 👊🏾”
Fury, however, isn’t really interested in the prospect of fighting Joyce next.
There are only two fights that do interest him — Anthony Joshua and current unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
“I’m not really interested in fighting Joe Joyce, I’m probably looking at someone like Savannah Marshall to fight in a cross-gender match-up…” Fury told iFL TV (via Michael Benson).
“I’m only interested in two fights – Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk, apart from that I’m not interested.”
Of course, it would have been ideal if Fury was facing one of Joshua or Usyk next. However, they are set to collide in a rematch sometime early next year.
That leaves Fury free for the time being and with the WBC not ordering Dillian Whyte as his mandatory due to an ongoing legal case, he may have to consider an option like Joyce.
Who do you think Tyson Fury should face next?
