Report: Ryan Garcia vs. Isaac Cruz In The Works
A lightweight bout between Ryan Garcia and Isaac Cruz is in the works.
That’s according to Steve Kimstobal who reported Tuesday that Golden Boy Promotions is trying to make that fight happen for either March or April.
“I was told that Golden Boy is trying to make a fight between Ryan Garcia and Isaac Cruz for March/April. Hats off if they actually get this done. Lets see where this goes…”
Garcia would later post the following:

Garcia hasn’t competed since winning the WBC interim lightweight title following a TKO win over Luke Campbell in January.
He was later slated to fight Javier Fortuna in July only to pull out to focus on his mental health. A November fight with Joseph Diaz was also pulled after Garcia required surgery following a hand injury.
Cruz, meanwhile, suffered his second professional defeat earlier this month after getting outpointed by Gervonta Davis over 12 rounds in their WBA lightweight title fight.
