Daniel Dubois Eyes Dillian Whyte Next: ‘I Am Coming To Clean Up And Take Out Whoever Is In My Way’
Daniel Dubois is hoping to fight Dillian Whyte next, although he says he’ll fight anybody.
Dubois picked up a KO win over Trevor Bryan on Saturday to win the WBA (regular) heavyweight title. Given he now holds the WBA title, he will be thrust into fighting the elite of the division which is more than ready before.
“I heard a lot of people say it and even though I thought it was a foregone conclusion I would win the fight, that fight was very big,” considered the winner of 11 championship belts as a professional. “It has set up a whole load of other matches down the line that are going to happen. This is what we are in this sport for, along with my dad and everyone who has been behind me from the beginning, this is what I’ve been pushing for. Now it is ahead of me, these big challenges are going to come,” he added, before being questioned on whether a fight with Usyk or Joshua appeals.
“Oh yeah, I am ready for the winner, line them up! I am waiting for this moment, I would prefer it to be Joshua, but whoever it is, it is the big league,” he added. “I want to get a few more fights under my belt, with that belt, and defend it to really make my mark and leave a legacy as a champion.”
When and who Daniel Dubois will fight next is uncertain. But, for the 24-year-old who’s 18-1 wants Dillian Whyte. Whyte, of course, is coming off the KO loss to Tyson Fury and for Dubois, he’s confident he will get his hand raised.
“That’s the fight. This is all business, there is no disrespect to anyone but I am coming to clean up and take out whoever is in my way,” Dubois said.
