Otto Wallin Believes It ‘Makes A Lot Of Sense’ To Face Anthony Joshua Next
Otto Wallin is hoping to fight Anthony Joshua later this year.
Following Joshua’s decision loss to Oleksandr Usyk over the weekend, he said he wants to return in December as he wants to be active. His promoter, Eddie Hearn thought it was a good possibility of making that happen and now Wallin has stepped up to be the person to face Joshua as he believes it makes a lot of sense.
“I think it makes a lot of sense for me and Joshua to fight each other. People in the UK know me for giving Fury one of his toughest fights in his career and I get a lot of support from over there. I’m always training and trying to get better and I can’t wait to go over to the UK and earn my right for another shot at Fury by beating Anthony Joshua,” Wallin told OLBG.
If Wallin does get the fight against Joshua later this year, he is confident he would pick up the biggest win of his career. He believes Usyk exposed some holes in Joshua’s game which he knows h would be able to also exploit.
“It was a great fight and both guys stepped it up from last time. I was actually impressed with Joshua’s adjustments for this fight. I didn’t think he was going to be able to put up such a good performance against Usyk but he proved me and I’m sure a lot of other people wrong. Usyk really had to dig deep and he once again showed that he’s a brilliant fighter but we also saw that no one is untouchable,” Wallin said.
Otto Wallin (24-1 and one No Contest) is riding a four-fight win streak since his decision loss to Tyson Fury in 2019. Since then, he has beaten Travis Kauffman by TKO and earned decision wins over Dominic Breazeale, Kamil Sokolowski, and Rydell Booker.
