Mahmoud Charr Taunts Tyson Fury To Get Deal Done: ‘The Lumberjack Is Coming For You’
Mahmoud Charr is taunting Tyson Fury in hopes of securing the heavyweight title fight.
After Fury announced he would be ending his retirement, he turned his attention to Oleksandr Usyk but it never came to fruition. He then offered the same deal to Anthony Joshua who said he would accept but when the deadline came for the contract to be signed, it was not signed and now Fury is reportedly in talks with Charr.
With Charr in the driver’s seat, he’s hoping to make the fight happen and has taunted Fury in hopes of getting the fight.
“The lumberjack is coming for you, Habibi. Focus on the belt, focus on the belt. You big dosser! Fury, you are the s**t as Anthony Joshua,” Charr said (via BoxingScene). “A man is a man. When you say Joshua is out, he is out. You told everyone you want to fight me [and] now we are like a duck. Take the fight.”
Although Mahmoud Charr appeared to be the frontrunner for a little while, Tyson Fury has since said he is giving Anthony Joshua more time to sign the deal.
“My promoter Frank Warren convinced me to let Queensberry carry on negotiating with your team this week, despite me knowing that you were never going to do this fight. So the deadline was Monday. I allowed Frank to continue doing meetings with your team and your broadcasters and all that. Now we have BT, DAZN and ESPN all on the same page,” Fury said. “They are happy with everything, they are all ready to rock and roll. You guys ask for a lot of stuff, you want to be co-promoters when you’re a voluntary challenger. Guess what, I said give it them, let them be co-promoters. You wanted full transparency, even though you’re not an equal shareholder in this party. You know what I said?”
As of right now, it’s uncertain who Tyson Fury will fight but Mahmoud Charr is hoping it will be him.
