Deontay Wilder Says Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk Is 50-50, Believes It Comes Down To ‘Who’s Going To Cheat The Hardest’
Deontay Wilder isn’t sure who will win the rumored upcoming undisputed heavyweight title fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury and Usyk have taken shots at one another for quite some time and the hope is the fight will be agreed to in the coming weeks. It will be a massive fight for the sport and many are torn on who will win.
Wilder – who fought Fury three times – also isn’t sure as he says it is a 50-50 fight. But, what may be the difference to him, is who cheats more.
“I don’t know. That’s a 50-50 fight for me. You just never know until you get in there. Depends on who’s going to cheat the hardest,” Wilder said in an interview with ESNews. “That’s what it is, it depends on who’s gonna cheat the hardest.”
Of course, Wilder was vocal in saying Fury was a cheater in his knockout loss as he accused Fury of having something in his glove to hit harder.
Although Deontay Wilder isn’t sure who wins, if he does get the fight against Andy Ruiz Jr. next, should he win, he could face the winner. Yet, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ says he doesn’t care about fighting for the belt for the time being.
“They want to see me with everybody. People don’t come and see me for no titles and stuff like that no more. That’s not for me. People come to see me to knock people out,” said Wilder. “So I don’t have to have the titles. I don’t have to have belts. People come to see me for what I do. That’s why you don’t see people booing because they know [the knockout] is coming. What do I always say? You don’t know when it’s coming, but it’s coming. Here it comes. Bam, baby. Good night.”
