Tyson Fury Will Receive ‘Premium’ Offer To Face Oleksandr Usyk
Tyson Fury will reportedly receive a ‘premium’ offer to box Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury vs. Usyk is one of the biggest fights to make in boxing as it would unify the heavyweight division. Both men have expressed interest in the bout, but negotiations have stalled and no deal was reached.
Now, however, Amer Abdallah, of promotional company Skill Challenge Entertainment of Saudi Arabia, revealed a lucrative offer will be going out to Fury to secure the boxing match against Usyk in Saudi Arabia.
“The premium offer will be coming soon, it will be based on the market value and demand of the fight. Tyson is frustrated, he wants to fight. If he can land something in September or October and then clear himself for December, we would love to make that offer,” Abdallah told Talk Sport. “It will be a premium price, we would never insult anybody with the offer. Prince Khaled when he makes an offer, they are big offers and he has no problem doing that. He is backed by the Ministry of Sport and everybody within the region.
“The offer will be there but it’s not going be a negotiation, it will be ‘Here’s a great premium price’. We would love to make the fight happen. It’s very easy sometimes in boxing for us to pound our chest and say ‘Take it or leave it’ but I would never want to insult somebody by saying ‘Listen, here’s the offer, take it or leave it’. Even if the offer was phenomenal, that’s not how you do business. We know going into this that the offer is very fair offer. We would love to work with Tyson and bring him to the Kingdom,” Abdallah added about Fury.
Whether or not the lucrative offer will finally get Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to sign off to face one another is uncertain.
But, the hope for many fans, is the fight will get made and Fury and Usyk will indeed fight at the end of this year.
