Otto Wallin Doesn’t Think Joseph Parker Is An Easy Fight For Deontay Wilder
Otto Wallin doesn’t believe Joseph Parker is an easy fight for Deontay Wilder as some suggest.
Wilder is set to return to the ring on Dec. 23 against Parker on the same card Wallin faces Joshua. It’s one of the biggest boxing events in quite some time and will impact the outlook of the heavyweight division.
However, many fans have called for Joshua and Wilder to box, and Wallin can face Parker. But, the expectation is if they both win the fight will happen.
Yet, Otto Wallin is confident he will pull off the upset and also believes Joseph Parker has a legit chance of beating Deontay Wilder.
“Carl is going to be disappointed when AJ loses. I understand where Carl Froch is coming from. They want to see Deontay Wilder and AJ, which would be a really big fight, but I’m really excited about this fight. That’s all that matters. Me, my team, my family, we are all really excited,” Wallin told Vegas Insider.
“When AJ loses, the Wilder fight is not going to be as big. Who knows with the Wilder vs. Joseph Parker fight? That’s also a good fight. Parker has been staying active, while Wilder hasn’t. That’s a good fight and not an easy fight for Wilder. Imagine if both Wilder and AJ lose; obviously, they can still fight each other, but it won’t be as big of a fight.”
As of right now, Deontay Wilder is a sizeable -750 favorite while Joseph Parker is a +470 underdog, showing that the oddsmakers believe ‘The Bronze Bomber’ will get his hand raised on Dec. 23.
Otto Wallin, meanwhile, is a +310 underdog while Joshua is a -450 favorite, but Wallin is confident both he and Parker can pull off the upsets.
