Frank Sanchez Hoping To Get A Big Name Next Time Out
Frank Sanchez is hoping to get a big-name heavyweight next time out.
Sanchez picked up a seventh-round stoppage win over Junior Fa on the ‘Day of Reckoning Card’ on Dec. 23 in Saudi Arabia. Now, after a couple weeks since the win, Sanchez is hopeful to get a big name opponent and mentions a couple of names.
“I’m highly rated and ready for a big name the public knows – Parker, Wilder, Hrgovic, Zhang or Dubois,” Sanchez told BoxingScene.com. “I will beat them all with ease. The better my opponent is, the better I am.”
As of right now, Frank Sanchez does not have his next fight booked, but he should get a well-known name next.
Sanchez is 24-0 and one NC in his career and the Cuban is hopeful to return in Saudi Arabia in March on the Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou undercard.
“With some luck, I will be back in Saudi Arabia to fight one of these names in March,” Sanchez said. “At first, I didn’t know what to expect. But I have been to Saudi twice in two months and the country is beautiful, the food is good, and the people are friendly. I am excited to return…
“The big names are finally fighting the big names,” Sanchez added. “His excellency, Turki Alalshikh, is responsible for the resurgence of heavyweight boxing. Look at all of the ‘Day of Reckoning’ fights and now [Tyson] Fury versus [Oleksandr] Usyk and Joshua versus Ngannou. Who else could have done this? I can’t remember when heavyweight boxing has been so exciting, and it is because of Turki Alalshikh.”
In his career, Sanchez holds notable wins over Christian Hammer, Carlos Negron, Nagy Aguilera, and Victor Bisbal among others.
