Teddy Atlas Shares Prediction For Dmitry Bivol vs. Artur Beterbiev

Teddy Atlas has shared his prediction for Saturday’s bout between Dmitry Bivol vs. Artur Beterbiev.

Bivol and Beterbiev are set to box on Saturday in a highly-anticipated bout. The two are set to unify the light heavyweight titles in a massive fight. It’s an intriguing matchup and Atlas believes Bivol will get his hand raised and can finish Beterbiev.

“He’s slowing down. He’s cutting up easier. He’s 38 years old with 300 amateur fights. A lot of tough fights in the pros. He’s ageing, nobody beats Father Time,” said Atlas when speaking on his The Fight podcast  (via DAZN). “I never will rule out Beterbiev, he’s got power, he’s got character and pride, but, yeah, I got Bivol a solid favorite. I think there’s a good chance he stops him late in the fight, either by cuts or by just an endless barrage of punches. Beterbiev is not a defensive wizard, where the referee would probably have to stop it, or his corner would have to stop it.”

Dmitry Bivol is the slight -145 betting favorite while Artur Beterbiev is a +120 underdog. Although the odds are close, Atlas has Bivol as a sizeable betting favorite as he expects him to finish Beterbiev to have a statement win.

Dmitry Bivol (23-0) is coming off a TKO win over Malik Zinad. Before that, he beat Lyndon Arthur by decision. Bivol has notable wins over Canelo Alvarez, Joe Smith Jr., Jean Pascal, and Gilberto Ramirez among others.

Artur Beterbiev (20-0) is coming off a TKO win over Callum Smith back in January. Before that, he scored a TKO win over Anthony Yarde. He holds notable wins over Joe Smith Jr., Marcus Browne, and Callum Johnson among others.
