Jack Catterall Believes Daniel Dubois Would KO Anthony Joshua Again In Potential Rematch

Jack Catterall doesn’t think Anthony Joshua would fare well in a potential rematch against Daniel Dubois

Dubois scored a stunning KO win over Joshua earlier this year and the two likely have a rematch next. If they do rematch, Catterall believes Joshua would get knocked out again.

“If you base it off the first fight, you would have to say it will be the same scenario. Daniel Dubois is coming of age and is looking better and better after each performance and is growing in confidence inside and outside the ring,” Catterall said to OLBG. “From what I have seen, Anthony Joshua will take the rematch but there are different fights out there for AJ, but he has that champion mindset and wants to come back and win his world title back, but the fight goes down the same way the second time round.”

If Daniel Dubois does KO Anthony Joshua it would be another statement-win for him. Jack Catterall also believes a loss ends any chance for Joshua to get big fights like Tyson Fury.

“You would say so, potentially,” Catterall said. Tyson Fury has his hands full with Oleksandr Usyk in the rematch which I am looking forward to watching in December. You just don’t know what is going to unfold because anything can happen in heavyweight boxing. I’m looking forward to Tyson Fury fighting Oleksandr Usyk again and I don’t think Anthony Joshua should rush and take that fight again with Daniel Dubois.”

As for Jack Catterall, he’s 29-1 and is coming off a decision win over Josh Taylor. He’s set to return to the ring on Saturday against Regis Prograis in a highly-anticipated bout. In his career, Catterall has notable wins over Jorge Linares, Ohara Davies, and Tyrone Nurse among others. He’s also challenged for the undisputed light welterweight titles.
