KSI set to battle former footballer Wayne Bridge
YouTuber turned musician and boxer KSI is set to face former professional footballer Wayne Bridge in his next boxing outing.
As we know, KSI has achieved some pretty impressive things in his career. From YouTube to music to Misfits Boxing and beyond, he’s certainly kept himself busy. He’s even been able to launch and grow Prime Hydration alongside Logan Paul, with the two men profiting massively from the success of the beverage.
Every now and then, many question whether or not KSI is done with boxing given how busy he is with his other commitments. However, as announced during last weekend’s Misfits event, he will return in March – to battle former Chelsea and England star Wayne Bridge.
KSI prepares for battle with Wayne Bridge
“From playing with him in FIFA Ultimate Team to knocking out Wayne Bridge in the ring at the end of March, what a life.”
While Bridge is best known for his football career, he’s also had a few exhibition boxing matches in his day. His last came all the way back in March 2018, when he was able to pick up a decision victory over Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews.
Of course, taking one someone like KSI, especially at the age of 44, is a different story. We all know that influencer boxing doesn’t come close to professional boxing in the traditional sense, but you can bet people are going to tune in to see this.
At the very least, a big win here for KSI could be enough to kickstart the conversation for a long-awaited showdown with Jake Paul. It’s not guaranteed by any stretch of the imagination and there are plenty of steps that need to be taken in order to get there, but who knows. Either way, this strange sub-genre continues to grow.
