Joseph Parker deserves respect

Last weekend, on short notice, Joseph Parker was able to defeat and knock out Martin Bakole in the second round – retaining his WBO interim heavyweight title in the process.
In doing so, Joseph Parker confirmed what we all already knew (for the most part) – that he’s willing to take on anyone, anywhere. Given how long he’s been in the game it’s easy to forget that he’s just 33 years of age, and yet, Parker has already put together a pretty impressive resume.
In addition to the win over Bakole, Joseph Parker has also been able to overcome Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang in his last two fights. Of course, he was supposed to battle it out with Daniel Dubois in his one, but he was still able to register a headline-making knockout that reminded the world why he’s one of the very best heavyweights out there.
Now, we think it’s about time that Joseph Parker gets the respect that we believe he truly deserves from boxing fans across the globe.
Joseph Parker’s next move
With six wins on the bounce, Joseph Parker has put the rest of the heavyweight division on notice. He has made it crystal clear that he isn’t going anywhere, and beyond that, we feel as if there’s only one natural next step for him: a rearranged showdown with Daniel Dubois.
But in addition to being a top heavyweight, this goes a lot further for Joseph Parker. The three losses he suffered in his career came against Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce. In short, he hasn’t had a whole lot of joy against the Brits.
Yet while Dubois is a scary prospect to face, Parker has no reason to fear anybody. He has proven himself to be an impeccable force of nature, and we’re excited to see how far this latest run takes him.
