Jake paul gives his thoughts on Gervonta Davis as a fighter after controversial draw

Jake Paul has given his thoughts on Gervonta Davis both in terms of what he stands for and what kind of a boxer he is.
Last weekend, Gervonta Davis went head to head with Lamont Roach – and barely came out of it with his unbeaten record intact. He was taken to a majority draw by the challenger and arguably should’ve lost after opting to take a knee in the ninth round, which wasn’t deemed to be a knockdown by the referee.
Many fellow boxers chimed in during, before and after the fight, and that includes Jake Paul. There were plenty of opinions flying around about it all but when it came to Gervonta himself, Jake had an interesting take.
Jake Paul’s view on Gervonta Davis
“Gervonta has my respect. Inside the ring, he comes to fight. 1 of the top 5 in the world right now. Outside the ring, he is standing on his own & representing America.
“I f*** with it. I would destroy him in the ring given the size. But I f*** with what he represents. Tuning in tonight.”
Shockingly enough, Gervonta Davis has actually teased the idea of a fight between himself and Jake Paul before. It seems like an insane thing to consider when you think about the disparity in weight between these two men but even with that being the case, there would certainly be a lot of intrigue, especially from boxing casuals.
Alas, Davis should be focusing on getting back in the win column in a legitimate way, and we aren’t so sure that a Paul showdown is the way to do it. With that being said, ‘The Problem Child’ always pulls in some big numbers, so many they could wind up putting together a PPV event that goes on to make some big noise.
