Adrien Broner Thrown In Jail Over Probation Violation
Adrien Broner is in hot water once again.
This time, he was thrown in jail by a judge in Cleveland after failing to enroll in an alcohol treatment program as part of his prior court-ordered probation for assaulting a woman at a night club.
As per Cleveland.com, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Sherrie Miday ordered Broner into a county jail following a court hearing on Tuesday.
It won’t be the end of his legal troubles either.
Broner has a hearing scheduled for October 26 as well where another judge in the same court will make the decision to hold him in contempt for failing to cooperate with a civil lawsuit a women filed against him.
That case involved the woman accusing Broner of forcibly kissing her at a Cleveland nightclub during the 2018 NBA Finals. Although he was charged with several felonies, the outspoken boxer ultimately received probation after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault.
As far as inside the ring, Broner last outpointed Jovanie Santiago in a contested unanimous decision back in February. It snapped a three-fight winless streak.
