Andy Ruiz Jr. Makes Prediction For Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury Fight
Andy Ruiz Jr. has given his prediction for the planned Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight.
Joshua and Fury are expected to collide in a highly-anticipated heavyweight title unification clash in the coming months with a rematch also expected as part of the contract.
For now, nothing is official but things appear to be moving in the right direction with many already making their predictions for the fight.
One fighter who will notably be keeping a keen eye on the fight is Ruiz who lost his heavyweight titles to Joshua in their December 2019 rematch.
But despite getting outboxed by Joshua — who has since gone on to defeat Kubrat Pulev — Ruiz wasn’t impressed with the Briton’s performance.
He’s even leaning towards a Fury win.
“I think that it’s gonna be an interesting fight,” Ruiz told Little Giant Boxing (via talkSPORT). “I fought Anthony Joshua, I haven’t fought Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury has a real style, he’s tall, he fights tall.
“I kinda see Tyson Fury winning that fight. I wasn’t too impressed with Anthony Joshua’s last performance [against Pulev], but he got the job done.
“I think maybe Tyson Fury might get him, depends how awkward he is. If he boxes – Anthony hasn’t fought anybody that boxes around and moves around, so we’ll see.”
As for Ruiz, he hasn’t competed since his defeat to Joshua. He is expecting to fight soon with a potential opponent being Chris Arreola.
