Artur Beterbiev Finishes Adam Deines In Round 10
Artur Beterbiev lived up to fan expectations, as he put on a dominative performance against Adam Deines.
Beterbiev, who was defending his IBF and WBC light heavyweight belts, looked impressive in his first fight in 17 months. The fight looked like it may have been over before it even properly began, as Beterbiev landed a grazing right to put Deines to one knee in the first round.
After dropping Deines in the first, the fight would last until the tenth, before Beterbiev clipped his opponent with a left hand sending him to the canvas. Deines made it back to his feet before the referee finished his count. However, his corner had seen enough and threw in the towel.
This victory brought Beterbiev’s record to 16-0, with 16 KO’s. As reported by ESPN Ringside, this makes Beterbiev the only current champion to hold a 100% knockout percentage. His opponent, Deines, had not been knocked out in 6 years.
