“The Dream” has held world titles in two weight classes and is the former undisputed lightweight champion. Some of his biggest wins include beating Jorge Linares, George Kamobosos Jr. twice and Regis Prograis.

Rolly Romero
Rolly Romero is another fighter, who is one of the current best boxers from Nevada. Romero has established himself as one of the top lightweight and super lightweight boxers over the last few years.
The young boxer from Nevada first established his name as a top fighter in 2020 by beating Jackson Martinez. This win secured Romero his first world title in the interim WBC lightweight title.
Romero then went on to fight the undefeated Gervonta Davis and won the WBA super lightweight title from Ismael Barroso. At 29 and only 17 pro fights, Romero has already won two world titles.

Jessie Vargas

Vargas won the WBA and IBO super lightweight title from former champion Khabib Allakhverdiev and retained the titles twice. He then moved up and won the WBO welterweight title from Sadam Ali.
During his career, Vargas has fought a who’s who of top boxers from Manny Pacquiao, Adrien Broner, and Tim Bradley. Vargas currently holds a record of 29-4-2 and seeing if he can make one more run for another world title.
Ishe Smith
Another of the best boxers from Nevada that we must mention is the former junior middleweight champion Ishe Smith. Ishe made history by becoming the first Las Vegas born world champion in 2013 at 35.
It was a long road to winning the IBO junior middleweight title for Smith. He won that title in his 14th year as a pro fighter.
Ishe later went on to have clashes with multiple world champions from Erislandy Lara, Tony Harrison, Julian Williams, and Cornelius Bundrage.
Melinda Cooper
