Billy Joe Saunders Responds To Chris Eubank Jr. ‘A-Side’ Claim: ‘I’m Your Payday’
Billy Joe Saunders has fired back at domestic rival Chris Eubank Jr.
In regards to a potential rematch between the pair, Eubank recently stated he was the A-Side and that Saunders had lost more than his title in his last fight.
“He has no credibility, he has no power in the sport so he can’t be saying he wants £5m, he’ll get what he’s given,” Eubank told talkSPORT. “I’m the A-side and once he understands that we can talk.”
Saunders, of course, suffered a TKO defeat to Canelo Alvarez after his corner stopped the super middleweight title fight following a dominant eighth round from the Mexican, who fractured the right orbital of Saunders in the process.
But despite suffering his first professional defeat and even contemplating retirement at one point, Saunders believes nothing has changed as far as him and Eubank are concerned.
Here’s what BJS wrote on Instagram:
“You never won a world title because your sh*t. You got 75 grand last time we boxed and your dad took 30. BUM. I’m your pay day littil boy and you may never get a chance to get that W bk boxing bin men.”
The pair first fought in 2014 with Saunders earning the split decision win and dealing Eubank’s first career defeat in the process.
