Bob Arum Blasts Jarrell Miller Over PED Suspensions: ‘How F*****g Stupid Can You Be?’
Bob Arum is not a fan over Jarrel Miller and him being suspended once again for PEDs.
“Big Baby” was supposed to box Anthony Joshua in June of 2019 but he failed multiple drug tests and many thought his career was over. Yet, Top Rank promoter, Bob Arum decided to give him another chance and booked him to fight in January but Miller once again tested positive and was suspended two years by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
For Bob Arum, he is dumbfounded by Miller and his actions.
“Not pissed but I just couldn’t believe it,” Arum said to BoxingScene.com. “I mean how f–king stupid can you be?”
Currently, Arum and Miller have not talked since the suspension but are planning to discuss everything in the coming days.
“He’s going to be talking to us. He wanted to fly to (Las) Vegas to meet with us but with the COVID I don’t want any people in the office,” Arum said. “So we’re gonna do a Zoom call as soon as next week about what we want to do with him in the future, if anything; what he wants to do, discuss the whole thing.”
However, when the do talk, Arum wants Miller to own up to his actions as he doesn’t want to hear any excuses. He knows Miller did it and wants Big Baby to acknowledge it.
“I’m not interested in hearing any excuses, if he thought it was a sex drug,” Arum said. “I mean gimme a break. How stupid can you be? Even if he thought he was just using it for sex you don’t put anything in your body that has a drug in it without getting it approved.”
Ultimately, once they meet, some clarity should be determined on Jarrell Miller’s future in boxing but for Arum, he isn’t sure what kind of fights he will get.
“You can’t tell him lights out, pack ‘em up. There always is a future. How bright the future is remains to be seen,” Arum said. “He obviously has had a tremendously adverse impact on his professional boxing career. There’s no question about it. But it is what it is.”
