Canelo Alvarez Easily Defends Title As Avni Yildirim Quits After 3 Rounds (Highlights)
It was easy work for Canelo Alvarez on Saturday night.
The WBA and WBC super-middleweight champion successfully defended his titles following a third-round TKO win over Avni Yildirim.
Yildirim threw very little early on as he just continued to eat body shots from Alvarez throughout. It was then in the third round when Alvarez dropped Yildirim with a right hand.
Yildirim made it to the end of the round but decided he had enough as his corner threw in the towel with Alvarez getting another win in the books.
The Mexican superstar is now set to face WBO super-middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders in a highly-anticipated title unification clash on May 2.
