Chris Eubank Jr and Billy Joe Saunders Trade Barbs On Social Media
Long-time rivals Chris Eubank Jr and Billy Joe Saunders have resumed their bitter feud. The two British fighters fought back in 2014 with ‘BJS’ winning in a highly competitive on the judges’ scorecards to hand Eubank his first career defeat.
Saunders was booked to fighter Mexican superstar Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, but the event was scrapped by Golden Boy Promotions before it was even announced. Unfortunately, the Englishman is not under consideration to fight ‘Canelo’ later this year due to the fact Oscar De La Hoya and co are unable to raise the funds to pay him properly due to the lack of gate revenue.
Eubank though seems to think Saunders turned down the chance to fight ‘Canelo’ and he has a pretty interesting theory as to why.
“Billy Bottle Job Saunders wont fight Canelo in two months??… I’m ready to go in 2 days!!! So a fight in September!? NO PROBLEM. Eddie Hearn already told everyone why my fight with GGG didn’t happen. Two months isn’t enough time for the drugs Billy Joe Saunders uses to get in shape, to leave his system, so he pulled out of the Canelo fight. Guess he’s just gotta go back to beating up women again,” Eubank wrote on social media.
Saunders quickly fired back at his nemesis to deny taking performance enhancing drugs and make a crude comment about his mother, he said.
“The only drugs I use is Viagra for when I dismantle your mum’s fanny.”
