Claressa Shields Puts Up $100k Offer To Spar Jake Paul
Claressa Shields has offered to spar Jake Paul for $100,000.
The pair have gone back-and-forth on social media ever since Shields declared she would never fight on the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s undercards.
Paul has since declared that Amanda Serrano was the superior women’s boxer and notably mocked Shields last month after she suffered her first defeat in mixed martial arts.
And now, Shields has put up an offer of $100,000 for a sparring session with the winner walking away with the money.
That said, Shields doesn’t believe Paul will end up taking it.
“He not going to take no offer to come and spar me,” Shields told Sports Illustrated. “I have put $100,000 on the table. And whoever wins in sparring can walk away with the dough. And I bet you — I will all I will walk away with the dough. Jake Paul wouldn’t even risk it. Nobody on his team would tell him to risk it, because he knows and they know he can’t do nothing with me.
In reality, this is unlikely to happen. It very well could be a risk for Paul, but it also makes zero sense at this point. Especially with Paul set to face Tommy Fury next month.
All that aside, Shields believes Paul has no right to even mention her name in the first place given her accomplishments in combat sports.
“You don’t even have enough accomplishments to even say my name. To even speak of me,” she added.
Do you think Jake Paul will accept and spar Claressa Shields?
