David Benavidez Overwhelms Ronald Ellis For Late TKO (Highlights)
David Benavidez enjoyed another dominant win.
Benavidez took on Ronald Ellis in a super-middleweight matchup on Saturday night and improved to 24-0 with an 11th-round TKO win.
Ellis started the fight aggressive and arguably won the first round. However, Benavidez would get into his groove soon after and take over the fight with a number of body shots and impressive combination punching.
Ellis was still in the fight, however, and after it seemed like he was all but out in the 8th round — with his corner giving him only one more round — he came back strong to hang in there.
However, Benavidez didn’t stop as he proceeded to overwhelm him in the 11th round with the referee putting an end to the contest.
Benavidez is now in line for a super-middleweight title fight. Whether it’s against Canelo Alvarez or Caleb Plant reminds to be seen.
