David Haye Backing Dillian Whyte To Pull Upset Against Tyson Fury
David Haye is backing Dillian Whyte to pull off the upset against Tyson Fury.
Whyte challenges Fury for the WBC heavyweight title when they clash at Wembley Stadium on April 23 in what will be one of the biggest fights in British boxing history.
For Whyte, it’s his first chance at becoming a true world champion.
However, the odds are against him as Fury is arguably the best heavyweight on the planet and is a comfortable betting favorite.
But with that said, former heavyweight champion Haye — who was close to fighting Fury back in the day — believes Whyte has all the tools to come out on top (via Michael Benson).
“The type of opponent that you’d need to beat Tyson Fury – Dillian Whyte has all of those attributes,” Haye was quoted as saying. “… I’m gonna go with Whyte, I think Whyte’s gonna pull off the upset.”
While Whyte is a underdog, he certainly has a chance of coming out on top.
After all, this is heavyweight boxing where anything can happen, and Whyte certainly has fight-ending power in his hands.
But with that said, so did Deontay Wilder, and Fury was able to best him on multiple occasions.
Do you think Dillian Whyte can defeat Tyson Fury?
