Deontay Wilder Expects Tyson Fury To ‘Cheat’ During Trilogy Bout On July 24
Deontay Wilder is expecting Tyson Fury to cheat once again.
After Fury scored a TKO win in the rematch, Wilder accused Fury of cheating as he believed he had something in his gloves. However, it was never proven but he will get a chance to right the wrong as he faces Fury on July 24 in Las Vegas in a highly-anticipated fight. For Wilder, he believes Fury will try and cheat once again.
“You think he ain’t gonna try to cheat this time?” Wilder told 78SPORTSTV. “Oh they’re thinking, they’re coming up with a master plan. But my thing to him – man, you couldn’t even get me out on loaded gloves and the conditions I was under. You couldn’t knock me out, you didn’t knock me out.”
Wilder no doubt has a lot to prove on July 24. In the first fight, he dropped Fury twice and nearly knocked him out but he was outboxed. He was also outboxed in the rematch, but this time, Fury didn’t back down and let Wilder get going. With that, the Brit is confident he will smash Wilder once again.
“Wilder, this contract is signed,” Fury said during a Top Rank broadcast. “You’re getting smashed. When I say smashed, I mean smash, smash, smash, bang. You’re getting knocked out. End of. One round, you’re going. I’ve got your soul, your mojo, everything.”
Both Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury have not fought since they met in February of 2020 where Fury won by TKO. If Wilder wins this one, perhaps they do a fourth given they would be 1-1-1.
Regardless, both men are extremely confident they will get their hand raised so it will once again be a highly-anticipated bout.
Who do you think will win the trilogy, Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury? And, what do you make of Wilder saying Fury will cheat again?
