Deontay Wilder Tells Joseph Parker He Has ‘NyQuil’ In His Right Hand
Deontay Wilder is confident he will KO Joseph Parker on Saturday in Saudi Arabia.
Wilder and Parker are set to throw down on the day of reckoning card, which has been talked about as the best card in boxing history. It’s a massive event, and in the lead-up to the fight, Parker has gotten advice from his friend Tyson Fury, but Wilder doesn’t think that matters at all.
“We’re gonna find out Saturday night. I’m glad that he’s getting advice, I hope he’s taking it all in,” Wilder said (h/t BoxingScene). “Because when he wakes up he’s gonna be like, ‘Damn, they lied to me.'”
Deontay Wilder enters the fight as the betting favorite, and is confident he will leave Saudi Arabia with the win. Along with that, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ believes he has all the tools to finish Parker as he told the Kiwi he has NyQuil in his right hand.
“I come to do what I do best and that’s to give the fans what they want to see. No one wants to see a twelve-round fight, there’s a whole bunch of heavyweights up here and we the hard hitters,” Wilder said. People have things to do, they want to come and see a fight and after that they want to go party. So, when you’re watching me, don’t blink, I’ll give you what you want to see. Nowadays, my name is called Dr Sleep and I’ve definitely got the NyQuil in my right hand. So, I hope he brings a pillow and a blanket, it get’s a little chilly at night.”
