Derek Chisora doesn’t think Tyson Fury is actually retired, and instead believes a deal is in place for him to face the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua 2.

Usyk and Joshua are set to rematch on Saturday in Saudi Arabia but the big news this week was Fury announcing his retirement for good. However, for Chisora he says that is not the case as he believes Fury has a deal in place to fight the winner of Saturday’s fight.

“The guy is bi-polar bro, that’s all I can say,” Chisora said. “He doesn’t know what he wants to do… The Saudis have a two-fight deal with AJ, Usyk and Fury. This and then the winner fights Fury for undisputed.”

Whether or not that is true is uncertain but for Derek Chisora – who lost to Usyk – believes it is a tough task for Joshua to win the fight.

“He has to be strong, he has to go hard and he has to box this fella, that’s a big ask,” Chisora said. “We’ve only got a couple of days left. I showed you can cause Usyk problems, but you have to be fit, you have to go to the other side. He’s going to have to go there to get his titles back. And most boxers don’t want to go there.”

If Anthony Joshua does get his hand raised, Derek Chisora believes Joshua has to win by KO as he doubts he will be able to outpoint Oleksandr Usyk.

“It has to be a knockout,” Chisora said. “It won’t be on points, it has to be a knockout.”
