Devin Haney Fires Back At Ryan Garcia, Calls Him ‘True Definition Of A Coward’
Devin Haney unloaded on Ryan Garcia following the latter’s recent remark.
After Haney was wobbled late on but managed to survive to claim a unanimous decision win over Jorge Linares and retain his WBC lightweight title this past weekend, Garcia took to social media soon after.
“I would’ve slept you,” Garcia wrote.
It took a few days, but Haney has finally responded to the WBC interim lightweight champion who he was notably slated to fight only for Garcia to have other plans.
“Ryan Garcia is the true definition of a coward… a few weeks ago he wanted sympathy because he was having “Mental Health issues” this week he talking sh*t about me… it’s funny now he came out after Javier fortuna found another opponent
“& if Luke Campbell dropped you what would have Linares have done to you? 😩
“& let’s be real you never wanted to fight Linares you ducked him like you ducked me”
Garcia — who pulled out of his fight with Javier Fortuna due to mental health issues — hasn’t responded as of yet.
However, one person who took issue with Haney’s tweets were Luke Campbell which led to back-and-forth between them.
All in all, things are certainly heated in the lightweight division.
