Dillian Whyte still believes Anthony Joshua has a lot left in the tank
Heavyweight boxing star Dillian Whyte still believes Anthony Joshua has a lot left in the tank in the sport.
Throughout the course of his epic career, Anthony Joshua has accomplished some great things. From selling out stadiums to winning world titles, he has spent a long time as the poster boy of British boxing.
Unfortunately, in recent years, he’s fallen on some hard times. While he avenged his defeat to Andy Ruiz, he’s since suffered losses to Oleksandr Usyk and, most recently, a devastating knockout loss at the hands of Daniel Dubois.
However, in a recent interview, his old foe Dillian Whyte explains why he thinks Anthony Joshua still has a lot to offer.
Dillian Whyte backs Anthony Joshua
“He’s still got a lot left in the tank and he’s still a big draw. And as you can see in the fight, he’s still a big puncher. He had Dubois going before Dubois landed the finishing blow,” Whyte said.
“It’s hard to say, he’s young, he’s strong, he looks in amazing shape. He’s still got a lot of fight left in him.”
“People put too much emphasis on a defeat in heavyweight boxing,” Whyte said. “That’s why a lot of fights don’t happen.
“They don’t get made because people put a lot of emphasis on win, lose and draw instead of enjoying the fact that two top guys are fighting each other now, which wasn’t happening a few years ago.”

Nobody knows what is next for Anthony Joshua in the world of boxing. He could make some kind of spirited comeback and even win a big belt again, or he may focus on legacy fights. Whatever happens, nobody will ever – or should ever – forgot what he’s been able to accomplish since he first made his debut.
