Dillian Whyte Blasts Con Man Deontay Wilder: ‘He Is The Biggest Fraud In All Of Sport’
Dillian Whyte is not a fan of Deontay Wilder.
Whyte is set to face Jermaine Franklin on Saturday as he looks to get back into the win column after losing to Tyson Fury earlier this year.
Although Whyte has his own fight to worry about, the heavyweight contender took shots at Deontay Wilder in the meantime. He believes Wilder is a fake person and the biggest fraud in boxing.
“This guy is an actor,” Whyte told Sportsmail (h/t BoxingScene). “Everything he does is an act. Even fake crying at [the press conference after he knocked out Robert Helanius]. I was just like, ‘you just make me sick, you piece of sh!t.’ I heard that Wilder still doesn’t want to fight me. He is the biggest fraud in all of sport – never mind boxing. Who doesn’t fight his No. 1 contender for four years and then claims he’s the greatest of all time? He hasn’t actually beaten anyone of note yet. He is just a cowardly con man.”
Dillian Whyte (27-3 and one No Contest) is coming off the loss to Fury and before that, went 1-1 with Alexander Povetkin. Prior to the loss to Povetkin, he was on an 11-fight win streak with notable wins over Robert Helenius, Derek Chisora, and Joseph Parker among others.
Deontay Wilder (43-2-1) returned to the win column last time out with a first-round KO win over Robert Helenius. Prior to that, he had back-to-back losses to Tyson Fury which are his only two losses. Wilder also fought Fury to a draw in the first fight. In his career, Wilder holds notable wins over Luis Ortiz, Dominic Breazeale, Chris Arreola, and Gerald Washington among others.
