Dillian Whyte Handed Deadline To Accept Tyson Fury Fight
Dillian Whyte has been handed a deadline to accept Tyson Fury fight as he has gone silent since the purse bids were announced.
Fury and Whyte are scheduled to face in April with the split being 80-20 in favor of the heavyweight champ. However, Whyte has not signed the deal as the WBC argues the purse split is not actually 80-20 but Frank Warren has told Whyte to sign the deal by February 21.
Many expect the fight to be made and Fury has also released a video on social media taunting Whyte before their scrap.
“Whyte feathers, coward. Where are ya Whyte feathers? You wanted your world title shot with [Deontay] Wilder for three years, you never got it,” Fury said in a Twitter video. “You was mandatory for me for three minutes and you got your fight, didn’t you coward? ‘Tyson Fury‘s a coward, he don’t want to fight Dillian Whyte’. But all of a sudden it’s on your toes and you’ve gone silent you little b****. Come out of hiding Whyte feathers. Come and get it. You’re getting a good hiding, you wanted a bit of free money didn’t you dosser. But now you’re getting eight million, which is seven-and-a-half million too much for you, you old dosser. Come out and say something, bum.”
Tyson Fury is coming off the KO win over Deontay Wilder back in October which was their trilogy bout. Prior to that, he had the TKO win in the rematch fight against Wilder to win the WBC title.
Dillian Whyte, meanwhile, is 28-2 and returned to the win column last time out with a TKO win over Alexander Povetkin to win the WBC interim heavyweight title. It served as a rematch after Povetkin scored a massive upset by TKO’ing Whyte in the first fight. His other loss came at the hands of Anthony Joshua by TKO in 2015.
