Donald Trump To Call Evander Holyfield vs. Vitor Belfort Boxing Event
Former President Donald Trump will surprisingly be calling the action at the upcoming Triller event on September 11.
In the main event is a boxing clash between former UFC light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort and former boxing cruiserweight and heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield.
More crossover action is there as former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva takes on former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz in a boxing contest. Lastly, former boxing cruiserweight and heavyweight champion David Haye makes his one-time return to boxing against Joe Fournier.
If those matchups weren’t random enough, Trump will be calling the action live along with his son Donald Trump Jr.
“I love great fighters and great fights. I look forward to seeing both this Saturday night and sharing my thoughts ringside. You won’t want to miss this special event,” the senior Trump said as per a Triller press release.
This will be Trump’s second major appearance at a sporting event since leaving office. He previously appeared at UFC 264 in July.
And with a long history with combat sports, Trump is certainly no stranger to boxing or some of the fighters competing in the event.
Belfort was originally set to box Oscar De La Hoya until the latter had to pull out after testing positive for COVID-19.
