Eddie Hearn Attempting To Book Devin Haney vs. JoJo Diaz Jr. Title Fight
Devin Haney could have his next lightweight title defense set.
Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn recently revealed that he was looking to make a fight between Devin Haney and JoJo Diaz Jr.
Haney’s WBC lightweight title would be on the line and ideally, it would take place in November (via Michael Benson).
“Eddie Hearn has said he is in talks and attempting to make Devin Haney vs Jojo Diaz Jr in November for Haney’s WBC lightweight title. [@DAZNBoxing Show]”
Haney, of course, is coming off a successful title defense over former champion Jorge Linares in May. It was his third title defense and saw him move to 26-0.
Diaz, meanwhile, is coming off a unanimous decision win over Javier Fortuna in July that saw him win the vacant WBC interim lightweight title.
In total, he is 32-1-1 with his only defeat coming to Gary Russell Jr. back in May 2018.
What do you think of this fight and who do you have winning?
