Eddie Hearn goes after Chris eubank Jr for insane egg stunt ahead of April 26 fight
Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn isn’t pleased with Chris Eubank Jr after the stunt he pulled at the press conference for his fight against Conor Benn.
As we know, Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn hate each other. They were set to fight each other over two years ago, only for the fight to get called off due to Benn failing two drug tests. Now, the bout is back on, with Eddie Hearn continuing to back and promote Conor.
On the flip side, you have Chris Eubank Jr, who has Ben Shalom behind him. At the aforementioned press conference, Eubank Jr cracked an egg on Benn and later said it was because “Apparently egg contamination was the reason for his two failed drugs tests. So I contaminated him with an egg”.
Now, Eddie Hearn has given his thoughts on what went down.

“Everything he does is premeditated. ‘When Eddie Hearn starts talking, you butt in’. What’s he done is he’s taken an egg to the press conference, he’s sat at the press conference the whole time with an egg, and he’s slapped Conor Benn in the eye with an egg.
“I thought it was a glass, I’ve got to be honest with you. Because when it smashed, and the noise it made, that’s where bits were flying everywhere. The world we live in today, it’ll go viral, people will think it’s quite amusing. I’ll just tell you one thing – in the fight game, everything changes now about this fight.”
“This fight was heated, this fight had bad blood – everything has changed. I don’t know if we can do Thursday’s press conference, to be honest with you. It will be attack on sight.”
