Eddie Hearn Reacts To Amir Khan Defeat, Open To Kell Brook vs. Conor Benn
Eddie Hearn likes the idea of Kell Brook vs. Conor Benn.
Brook is coming off a dominant sixth-round TKO win over domestic rival Amir Khan this past weekend.
Khan showed great heart and spirit to keep fighting, but was ultimately overwhelmed by Brook who earned the stoppage victory.
With Khan mulling retirement now, Hearn can only imagine how a fight between the pair would have played out if they fought during their primes.
“Watching the fight I had a couple of thoughts,” Hearn said (via Michael Benson). “This would’ve been such an unbelievable fight in their primes, it was still exciting.
“Massive props to Khan because he was absolutely shot to pieces. He wouldn’t give up.”
Eddie Hearn Open To Brook vs. Benn
Following Brook’s win, he was called out by the likes of Chris Eubank Jr. as well as Conor Benn.
And as far as Hearn is concerned, Benn makes the most sense for Brook to fight.
“Kell Brook vs Conor Benn is a brilliant fight,” he added. “I said to Kell last night, ‘Why would you even think about fighting Chris Eubank Jr, a middleweight, when you can fight a huge welterweight fight vs Conor Benn?'”
